Magic bookmarks are safe!

Magic bookmarks help you add items to your page quickly and easily. To achieve this goal, magic bookmarks use a technique, called JavaScript that is widely used on most of the modern Web pages. It is not commonly used in bookmarks, however, so it takes some of the browser models by surprise when encountered there. These browsers may pop up a warning that the magic bookmark you are adding might not be safe.

However, the magic bookmarks from Favormark.com are safe both for your computer and your privacy, so click Yes if you see the extra question. The browser is merely reacting to the presence of JavaScript. However, none of the magic bookmarks attempts to modify or access any data on your computer. FavorMAIL, FavorPHONE and FavorNOTE do not even pass any information to Favormark.com but the names of Favormark pages that have been recently accessed from a given computer, which is done to spare you, whenever possible, from an extra password request. The FavorMARK! magic bookmark also submits the title and address of the Web page you are currently viewing, so that you could add a bookmark to your Favormark page.

To check the contents of a magic bookmark, select Favorites|Organize Favorites in Internet Explorer or Edit bookmarks in Netscape Navigator, right-click on a magic bookmark, and select Properties.
